Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine for a More Refreshing Summer

By Arthur Smith

Summer is hot! Clich. Since summer is here, it is time to cool down while enjoying the sun. One way to enjoy the sunshine is to eat frozen foods. And the best frozen food is no less than.. ice cream!

Another type of ice cream that's become more popular nowadays is the soft serve ice cream. Does it mean that the regular ice cream is hard? You can read up and learn more about this soft serve ice cream machine:

Soft serve means ice cream, yogurt, custard and anything of that kind which are not frozen hard. What you need here is a soft serve ice cream machine which allows for air to add up 45% to its volume. You can just imagine that if 25% of air is added to the a gallon of ice cream it becomes 1.25 gallons in total. High temperature and air makes the ice cream creamier all throughout the mix. Air makes soft serve machines use fewer ingredients.

These machines are indeed so cool, and so there features are. These machines are self-contained units that store mix, churn, and freeze it into soft ice cream, and then dispense it. Other models are incorporated with touchpad LED displays that will let you set the time or consistency of the finish product. When this is set, the machines automatically adapt to whatever mix is used. Moreover, there is a low-mix light that tells when to fill again the mix hopper. Some models possess audible signal that tells when to add more mix.

A great soft serve machine will have a safety feature that will protect you from any compressor burnout. The compressor goes in a cycle for every 10 minutes to keep the ice cream cold. A great function is also that of protecting the compressor from hot refrigerant gas that may make the ice cream freeze solidly.

When choosing soft serve machines, the capacity must be ensured depending on the desired volume of ice cream to be produced in every setting. Usually, machines are measured in volumes. Machines with high volume can produce ice cream suited for 7 servings, medium for 4-5 servings, and low volume for 2-3 servings.

The small soft serve ice cream machines can use up 115 volts while the large ones 208-230 volts.

Once the mix has turned into soft ice cream, it is now ready to be served in a cone or bowl. It can also be matched in root beers or banana split desserts. Whatever is your choice, walk under the sun and get cool down with soft ice cream. Happy eating.
